Hi. I’m Melody. I am a 20-something young professional who recently moved to New York from Boston, and lives, works, dreams and breathes in the digital world. Unfortunately, my passion for digital has impaired my ability to do most things a 20-something should probably know how to do in the real world. It’s thanks to the Boston University dining halls, my friends, my boyfriend and the various food establishments in the greater Boston area that has kept me alive these past several years.

I have made boxed mac-and-cheese incorrectly. My fingers have all been way-too-close-for-comfort to being chopped up with my vegetables. My rice is always burnt. The closest I am allowed to the kitchen is when I watch celebrity chefs on the Food Network.

I am Culinarily Challenged.

But I am determined to learn.

It will be a challenging process. I will make bad meals. But hopefully I will make good meals too. I invite you to join me on what is sure to be an amusing, humiliating, and fun journey to fight through my culinary disability…and my 20s.

Hopefully Yours,
Melody
